Job Summary
We are hiring a Part-Time Yard Person to support our lumberyard operations in Wetaskiwin. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, responsible for maintaining yard organization, safely handling materials, and assisting customers with loading and product support.

What You’ll Do
- Load, unload, and store lumber and building materials
- Assist customers with gathering and loading orders
- Operate yard equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, lumber cart, banding equipment)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
- Receive incoming merchandise and check against invoices
- Identify and report damaged goods, shortages, or backorders
- Restock lumber bins, sheds, and yard inventory
- Process and follow up on special orders
- Support deliveries and pickups as required
- Monitor for theft or safety concerns and report according to policy
- Assist with training new employees when required
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous yard, warehouse, or retail experience is an asset
- Ability to safely operate yard equipment (training provided if needed)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends and statutory holidays
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Must have valid drivers license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials 60+ lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
