Our company, a logistic management, distribution and warehousing enterprise is expanding and requires the right person to join their team and contribute to the on-going success of their operation.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Warehouse Lead hand who in addition to these supervisory duties, can operate a forklift and empty vans in order to help complete tasks.
Under the direction of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, the Warehouse Lead Hand is accountable to facilitate our day to day warehouse and distribution activities with a tight focus on customer service, cost savings and efficiency. The designated employee, among other assigned responsibilities, will perform the following principal tasks.
Every day, the team leader will have to do a wide variety of tasks such as:
- Manage and plan floor and staff, shifts, employee attendance and upcoming needs.
- Establish the <KPI> (Performance Indicator)
- Manage Inventory
- Responsible for the inbound and outbound operations
- Establish and maintains accurate inventories using cycle counting-material flow of the warehouse;
- Verify and manage orders, shipping and receiving
- Raise awareness and be a health and safety representative, suggest improvement, lead by example, train employees to be safe
- Motivate and give the tasks and objectives of the day to the team
- Promote mutual support, communication and relationships within the team(Warehouse), as well as with all other employees and customers
- Prepare the next day (take out the pallets for the next morning's trucks, take out the orders etc).
We are looking for a person who is:
- Hard-working, able to help each employee.
- Focused on health and safety at work.
- Ability to communicate well in French.
- Skilled with computers. Able to manage a considerable quantity of emails, plan agendas, use "RF guns / Scanners" etc.
- A licensed forklift operator and has experience with the Raymond Reach.
- Attentive and meticulous, who will be able to verify that the trucks are loaded properly, that the pallets are well packed
- Experienced in warehouse / in transport / on lifts and in management.
