Ken Jackson Construction is looking to hire a full-time experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Heavy Equipment Operator. As a Heavy Equipment Operator you are responsible for skilled work that involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment. We are looking for an operator capable of operating excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders and hydro excavators. Work will include landscaping, septic systems, large commercial jobs and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Required to perform safe quality work as directed by your supervisor and will be expected to take responsibility for aspects of health and safety
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure good working order
- Capable of minor maintenance and light repairs
- Ability to work on your own in remote locations
- Safely operate equipment to move material
- Load and unload material in machines
- General housekeeping of yard
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with heavy equipment
- Fine grade dozer experience preferred
- Valid G license is required and a clean drivers abstract
- AZ/DZ license preferred but not required
- Knowledge of construction, equipment maintenance and operation
- Must be able to apply due diligence ensuring accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all necessary documentation including purchase requisitions and time sheets
- Must be well organised and be able to work well individually and as part of a team
