Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing an automotive collision repair shop
- Proven experience in customer service and client relations
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, including:
- Body repairs
- Mechanical repairs
- Paint and refinishing
- Proficient in using Mitchell estimating software to prepare and review repair estimates
- Experience managing shop workflow, scheduling, and production
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise technicians and office staff
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Experience working with insurance companies and claims procedures is an asset
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the collision repair shop
- Prepare, review, and manage repair estimates using Mitchell
- Manage production schedules and ensure repairs are completed on time
- Coordinate workflow between the body, paint, and mechanical departments
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with customers, insurance companies, and suppliers
- Monitor repair quality and ensure all work meets industry standards
- Manage staff performance, training, and scheduling
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
- Ensure shop profitability by controlling costs and maximizing productivity
