Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skilled Labourer to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in producing quality work. Working alongside carpenters, site supervisors, and specialized trades, you will support all phases of residential construction while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of custom home construction and residential renovations.
- Perform site preparation, demolition, framing support, material handling, and general carpentry assistance.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Support carpenters and subcontractors with daily construction activities.
- Complete minor construction tasks independently, including blocking, backing, installation of temporary protection, and basic finishing work.
- Identify and report site hazards or quality concerns to the Site Supervisor.
- Follow project schedules while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential construction or custom home building is preferred but not required.
- Experience working on high-end residential renovations or custom homes is considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn and develop new construction skills.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate common construction hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of, or willingness to learn, construction site safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
