Do you love working with kids and video games? We are excited to announce we are now hiring! Code Ninjas is the leader in coding education for kids ages 5-14 across Canada. At our centre in St.Catharines, Ontario, kids learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way at their own pace while building video games. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt.
We are located inside the ActivityPlex at 150 Dunkirk in St.Catharines, Ontario. At our location, we focus on ‘edutainment’ with a whole child development approach drawing on 21st century learning objectives. We pride ourselves on being a place where kids feel like they belong and parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence, new STEM skills, new friends, and mentorship from our staff.
We are looking for Instructors (aka: Code Senseis) to join our team of coding/video-game enthusiasts, working toward our common goal of providing a fun and safe learning environment. If you love Roblox, Minecraft, coding, and aspire to be a future game developer, this is your dream job.

We provide extensive training, both for the current role as well as training for future leadership. We provide opportunities beyond the job description to connect to worthy causes such as teaching kids coding from disadvantaged households.
Who are you?
You are an enthusiastic person who can manage a room of kids. You LOVE working with kids and are comfortable engaging with parents who may ask about their child’s progress. You are a coder which a curious mindset and feel energized being around other like-minded peers. You are excited by the chance to work in an environment that will offer opportunities to explore your own leadership potential.
As an instructor you will:
- help kids learn coding concepts in JavaScript, Lua (Roblox), and Unity in an unstructured environment.
- utilize your knowledge and experience to fill in gaps in curriculum to ensure student learning and engagement.
- be a role model for the kids
- communicate with parents on their child's progress.
- interact with the kids to make the environment fun (for example, we like to talk with the kids about their favourite video games)
- work hard to remember kids’ names, and have fun trying to have them remember yours!
Your Skills:
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology; Ideally, have experience in: JavaScript, Lua (Roblox) and Unity
- Knowledgeable in Roblox and/or Minecraft and/or popular video games
- Passionate about technology and software
- Energetic and able to get kids engaged
- Must pass a vulnerable-sector check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
