Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in a project management role, either as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Field Engineer, and have worked in the heavy construction, bridge building, and or deep foundation improvement fields. Past involvement with large scale heavy construction projects, bridges, cranes, pile driving, deep foundations, ground improvements, stone columns, drilling, heavy erection, road building, and or steel fabrication is preferred. Hands on construction experience is also highly valued. A degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering is a requirement for this position.
Where applicable, applicants can expect to work with a Senior Project Manager gaining experience with all aspects of the job cycle, including client relations, estimating, bidding, contracts, schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and general project management. They will also have the opportunity to solo manage suitably sized projects.
Our modern office is located in North Vancouver and the majority of our projects are within the Lower Mainland region. Project management staff work from our office and make site visits as needed. Qualifications:
- Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering Degree (Required).
- 3+ years experience in a project management role (PM, PC, or Field Engineer) at minimum.
- Experience in heavy construction, bridge building, deep foundation, and or ground improvement fields preferred.
- Estimating experience is an asset.
- Contract experience is an asset.
- Budgeting and invoicing experience is an asset.
- QA/QC experience is an asset.
- Engineering design experience is an asset.
- Hands on construction experience is an asset.
Compensation:
Based on the experience level of the applicant. Above market for the heavy construction industry. We look for top tier long term employees.
