Position Details

Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions accurately and determine appropriate interventions based on established protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation of all procedures performed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently, including monitoring vital signs and managing airway devices.
- Assist with patient transfer, lifting, and positioning, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, treatments provided, and interventions performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control procedures, and company policies at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospital or emergency medical services environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient care procedures, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving patients or equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Critical thinking skills to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately under pressure.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications
- Current registration/licensure as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP)
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Occupational Health experience is considered an asset
