Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of heavy machinery such as trucks, excavators, cranes, and farm equipment
- Learn to interpret schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely during repair tasks
- Support the assembly and disassembly of industrial and automotive components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct basic diagnostics on engines, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and other mechanical parts
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspection results
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with heavy equipment and industrial machinery
Skills
- Previous dealership or automotive repair experience is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, excavators, or cranes is advantageous
- Basic mechanical knowledge including understanding of schematics and troubleshooting electrical or hydraulic systems
- Experience with welding, hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when needed
- Knowledge of industrial equipment assembly, HVAC systems, or farm machinery is beneficial
