The impact you'll make:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Compliance Contractor to support Natural Health Product (NHP) Site License compliance in alignment with updated Health Canada GMP guidance for NHPs (2026). This role will play a critical part in ensuring GMP compliance, documentation readiness, and audit preparedness across manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and distribution activities. The contractor will partner closely with Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external manufacturing partners to strengthen quality systems.
This is an initial 4-month contract with the potential for extension, depending on workload. This role requires 2 days onsite, but the other days with a more flexible schedule (20-40 hours a week, depending on candidate’s availability).
In addition, this Quality Contractor will be asked to support the implementation of a document control system with a focus on documentation gathering, review, and system readiness. This role will partner closely with Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant product and packaging data is captured and transitioned into the new system.

What you'll do:
Compliance & Site License Readiness
- Support preparation for NHP Site License renewal, aligning with updated Health Canada NHP Regulations and NHP Site License (SL) documentation including:
- Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Documentation gathering
- Ensure traceability and record-keeping practices meet inspection standards
Supplier & Co-Manufacturer Communication
- Work with third-party manufacturers and suppliers to complete actions to meet requirements of NHP GMP standards
- Support quality agreements updates with co-manufacturers
Audit & Inspection Preparedness
- Conduct mock audits
- Prepare teams and documentation for inspection scenarios
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs teams
- Support training of internal teams on NHP compliance requirements
Document System Implementation Support
- Collect and organize product, packaging, and raw material specifications from internal teams and suppliers
- Review existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with regulatory and quality standards
- Support data cleansing, standardization, and structuring for upload
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve data gaps and inconsistencies
- Support user testing (UAT), validation, and continuous improvement during implementation
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years in Quality and/or Regulatory Affairs within NHP, pharmaceuticals, food, or cosmetics industries
- Deep knowledge of Health Canada NHP Regulations and GMP requirements
- Experience supporting or leading NHP Site Licence applications or renewals
- Strong understanding of GMP documentation systems and audit readiness
- Proven track record in gap assessment and compliance remediation
- Strong experience with specification documentation (formulas, packaging, BOMs, COAs, etc.)
Preferred:
- Experience working with contract manufacturers/co-mans
- Experience preparing for or managing Health Canada inspections
- Experience with specification management software
