Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation and food handling tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies, including labeling and rotating stock
- Help with dishwashing, sanitation, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
- Support serving staff during meal service times when needed
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen operations
- Assist in setting up dining areas and cleaning after service to prepare for the next shift
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with cleaning procedures within a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, or food service environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail
