Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, personable and professional Receptionist/Junior Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This role involves providing exceptional administrative support, managing client interactions, and assisting with documentation and file opening. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a foundational understanding of legal procedures. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors professionally, ensuring excellent phone etiquette and customer service
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings efficiently
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate filing systems using Clio software or similar document management software
- Assist with legal research using LexisNexis and other resources to support case preparation
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents, correspondence, and reports with attention to detail
- Support attorneys with legal drafting, proofreading, and editing of documents
- Organize case files, manage document filing systems, and ensure timely retrieval of information
- Conduct research on relevant legal topics to assist in case development
- Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases or firm initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Qualifications
- Prior administrative experience in a professional or legal setting is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and familiarity with Clio software is a plus
- Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, and editing documents
- Knowledge of project management principles applicable to legal workflows is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail in data entry, filing, and document review processes
- Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and managing correspondence efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Pay: From $35,893.55 per year
