The Huntingdon Hotel and Suites is seeking a part-time Houseperson for evening shifts, 3 days a week. The Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, restocking supplies, assisting with laundry, and fulfilling guest and team requests to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all cleaning materials, amenities, and equipment supplied for use during the shift.
- Report directly to and take direction from the Executive Housekeeper or designate.
- Fulfill guest amenity and supply requests as directed by the Front Desk or Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Maintain a positive attitude and respectful working relationships with all peers and guests.
- Remove recycling and compost from all guest floors and ensure service areas are clean and well maintained.
- Assist the laundry department as needed.
- Collect, wash, and restock dishes and supplies in service closets for Room Attendants to replenish guest rooms.
- Assist in cleaning guest rooms when requested by supervisors or during high-demand periods.
- Perform general cleaning tasks in public and back-of-house areas using approved cleaning products in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs (e.g., light bulbs, equipment malfunctions) to the appropriate department.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including hallways, stairwells, and elevators, as required.
- Ensure all service closets are fully stocked, organized, and secure at all times.
- Support Room Attendants by removing used linens and garbage from rooms or carts, as needed.
- Adhere to all Huntingdon Hotel & Suites standards, procedures, and health and safety protocols.
- Comply with all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently within the allotted time.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow procedures while working quickly.
- Professional discretion to ensure guest privacy and comfort.
