JOHN NOBLE HOME BACKGROUND
The John Noble Home (JNH) is a “Class A” facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881. Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus. All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility.
The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with planned expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior’s apartments.
POSITION SUMMARY (detailed job description available upon request)
The Housekeeper cleans and services the facility to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents, visitors and employees. This position will provide a clean and safe environment with minimal interference to others. Works in accordance with all the Policies and Procedures of the Home. While performing any and all duties of the position the employee will work in a safe and healthy manner and will follow the regulations outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act as outlined in the organization Health & Safety Policy, Infection Control and safe work procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
- Ensure resident home areas and common areas are kept clean by; dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Clean resident washrooms, sinks, toilets, etc.
- Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
- Dust/clean furniture including beds.
- Collect and transport refuse, clean and reline refuse containers with plastic bags. Change all garbage bags and remove to storage area following the waste program.
- Assist with internal transfer of resident’s possessions when a resident move is made.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS (but not limited to):
- Ontario Secondary Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of housekeeping operations and equipment, an asset.
- Experience in a Long-Term Care setting is an asset

Pay: $26.74-$27.34 per hour
