From the very beginning, Sight Care Optometry and Optical has been built on providing exceptional service and earning the trust of everyone we serve. This commitment has led to steady growth every year since we opened our doors 6 years ago.
Right now, we are seeking an ambitious Optician/Optical Salesperson to join our practice. The primary focus for this person will be our growing mobile practice – Sight Care on Site – that brings comprehensive eye examinations and eyewear to retirement homes and businesses throughout the GTA.
The person we seek will take on a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
- Take responsibility for our mobile business, including scheduling of on-site days, registering patients and verifying OHIP eligibility, attending on-site eye examinations, and setting/attending dispensing days post examination.
- When in either of our clinics/retail locations, serving clients so they leave their appointment ready to tell their friends about how special the experience was.
- Assist clients with choosing the best glasses and/or contact lenses for their needs.
The person we are seeking:
- Has their own reliable transportation - you could be working in a different location for some shifts as well as mobile days - some areas we serve do not have regular transit service.
- Has ideally completed a recognized Opticians program – however, we are open to some who has at least 2 years’ solid industry experience.
- Is focused on providing superior patient care and ready to embrace “The Sight Care Way”.
- Is detail oriented and able to keep the team organized.
This is a part-time position for now but could quickly grow from 1-2 days a week initially to 3-4 as the year progresses.
