ABOUT COPPER TIP
Copper Tip Energy Services is a dynamic, multi division energy services company operating across Canada and the USA. Our finance team plays a central role in supporting operations across multiple business lines. We are looking for a driven Senior Accountant to join us and take meaningful ownership of key accounting functions.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment. You will own a broad portfolio of accounting responsibilities, from month-end close and financial reporting to cross-border tax compliance and operational support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working with data and modern tools, including AI, to drive accuracy and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations for Canadian and US entities.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reporting package for review.
- Perform analytical reviews to identify variances and support business decisions.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of general ledger entries across entities.
- Liaise with external auditors to support audit requirements.
Accounting Operations
- Review Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoices and prepare daily revenue forecast reporting.
- Manage credit card reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare and file monthly British Columbia (BC) Provincial Sales Tax (PST).
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain operational and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support inventory tracking and revenue analysis across business lines.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and reduce manual workflows.
Systems
- Participate in ERP and operational software improvements.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and cross-border compliance matters.
- Assist with regulatory audits as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and financial data management and analysis.
- Comfortable using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools as part of daily workflow.
- Oil and gas and/or transportation industry related experience preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
