We are seeking a skilled Dental receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental administrator or dental receptionist
- Experience in optimization of scheduling patient appointments
- Solid understanding of dental insurance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience maintaining a professional level of patient privacy
- Experience using Dentrix is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Dental assisting knowledge is an asset
- Should be available to alternate some evenings and Saturdays
Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and calling for reminders.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Submitting claims to insurance, coordinating payments, etc.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying and filing.
