Job Overview
The hotel is looking for a Front of House Food & Beverage Manager to lead the front-of-house team. This person will manage daily operations for the restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service and make sure guests receive excellent service. The role focuses on team training and leadership, smooth efficient operations, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
Main Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service
· Work with the kitchen to plan menus and pricing
· Order supplies and control inventory, costs, and quality
· Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of all dining areas
· Supervise and schedule front-of-house staff
· Hire, train, and manage performance of staff
· Ensure staff know and follow food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service laws
· Handle guest feedback and complaints
· Monitor budget, costs, and outlet performance
· Coordinate with other departments (Sales, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)
· Organize staff meetings and training sessions with front of house staff
· Be present during busy service times to support staff and guests
· Ensure proper POS and cashiering procedures
· Follow and lead hotel policies and safety procedures
Requirements
· At least 2 years of experience managing food service operations, (both banqueting and restaurant management experience required), ideally in a hotel environment
· Experience supervising staff in restaurants or hospitality
· Strong leadership, training, and team management skills
· Knowledge of food safety and food handling
· Experience with inventory, budgeting, and cost control
· Strong customer service skills
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Fluent in English (French is a plus)
· Hotel food & beverage education or related education preferred
