Clinical Scalpology is seeking a hair professional who understands hair care, wash routines, blow-drying, and presentation, and is excited to apply those skills in a scalp wellness and head spa-inspired setting.
Job description
Clinical Scalpology is a modern scalp wellness concept in Calgary focused on elevated scalp care, restorative rituals, and refined client experiences. We are looking for a Hair & Scalp Ritual Specialist who understands hair, scalp care, client service, and presentation, and who is excited to apply those skills in a treatment-based setting.
This is not a traditional hairstylist role focused on cutting or coloring. Instead, this position is designed for someone with a hair background who wants to work in a more specialized environment centered around scalp wellness, cleansing rituals, blow-dry finishing, client education, and overall treatment experience.
The ideal candidate is polished, detail-oriented, warm with clients, and genuinely interested in scalp health, beauty, and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized scalp and hair treatments tailored to each client’s needs and aligned with Clinical Scalpology service protocols
- Support hydro scalp rituals, cleansing services, scalp care treatments, and finishing services such as blow-drying and light styling
- Deliver an exceptional client experience by listening carefully, creating comfort, and offering thoughtful recommendations
- Educate clients on scalp health, hair care routines, treatment benefits, and supportive home care
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in treatment rooms, tools, and shared spaces
- Help create a calm, polished, and professional atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive client feedback
- Assist with front desk support when needed, including appointment flow, client check-in/check-out, and answering basic inquiries
- Recommend retail or aftercare products when appropriate to support client results
- Stay current on hair care, scalp wellness, and treatment trends to continue providing informed support
- Work collaboratively with the team to help maintain a seamless and elevated clinic experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hair care, salon support, hairstyling, beauty services, or a related client-facing role is preferred
- Strong shampooing, blow-drying, and general hair handling skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect naturally with clients and team members
- Understanding of salon or spa sanitation standards and professional presentation
- Confidence in product recommendations and client education
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Genuine passion for scalp health, beauty, wellness, and high-quality client care
- Interest in learning a unique scalp wellness treatment model
What makes this role unique
- Work in a specialized scalp wellness concept instead of a traditional salon chair setup
- Use your hair and beauty background in a more elevated, treatment-focused way
- Receive training in Clinical Scalpology rituals and service flow
- Be part of a growing brand creating a new category in scalp care and wellness in Calgary
Important note
This role does not focus on haircutting or conventional salon services as the primary duty. It is centered on scalp care treatments, cleansing rituals, hair finishing, and helping deliver a refined client experience from beginning to end.
