Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including central air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to accurately perform installations and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to maximize system longevity and efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, such as pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair of metal components within HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using detailed schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes swiftly.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC mechanic or technician with a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, appliance repair, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex mechanical components and construction environments.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in maintenance tasks involving plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply them during repairs or installations.
- Prior experience working with construction projects or large-scale facility maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective solutions promptly.
