Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Foundation Driller and Driller Assistant to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, assisting with drilling operations, and supporting various construction activities. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment to support foundation and construction projects
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling equipment and other machinery
- Support the installation of foundations by accurately drilling and positioning piles or supports
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently and safely
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment
- Assist with site preparation and other related construction tasks as needed
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding project progress and equipment needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Construction experience with a focus on foundation work or site development is advantageous
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting equipment or materials on-site
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
