Qualifications:
- Preferably 3 years ( but not required) experience in the lawn, landscape maintenance industry with a good understanding of commercial lawn maintenance & mowing, horticulture, gardening..Training will be available for right applicant. If you are a detail oriented person and enjoy seeing the results of your work we want to talk with you.
- Must have Drivers Licence ( NO EXCEPTIONS)
- must be able to work well with a team
- attention to detail on work sites
- ability to safely operate equipment and good eye hand coordination
- ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time under various weather conditions ( Rain, Cold and Hot Temperatures )
- ability to understand verbal and written instructions accurately
Duties Include:
-Weekly site routes performing lawn, landscape maintenance tasks on various sites.
- Operating commercial hydrostatic mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, pruning & hedge trimmer tools, trucks with trailers.
- Weekly mowing of small and large commercial sites, spring clean up, power raking, aerating, shrub bed maintenance, weeding, fertilizing, shrub and small tree pruning and other landscape maintenance requirements.
Requirements:
- The lawn maintenance crew will work approximately 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week with Fridays usually a shorter day.
- Must have cell phone, transportation to shop office and be readily available.
- This is an outside job during adverse weather such as rain or heat.
- Applicant must have without exception a clean and valid driving license with driver abstract and have transportation to and from shop office.
- Competitive wages based on experience with room to advance and increased renumeration for the right applicant.
- Pesticide Applicator Certification, Irrigation Certification or Lawn and Plant Health education is an asset.
- Year round position with winter season work.
