CFR Chemicals is looking for an Inventory Analyst who will be responsible for the reconciliation of bulk and liquid goods located in numerous warehouse locations across Western Canada. The Inventory Analyst will develop, implement, and maintain processes that will guarantee the accuracy of recorded inventory. They will be an integral part of an interdepartmental team that helps to ensure the integrity and effective use of the inventory. The position will also be responsible for accurate perpetual on-hand inventory levels via inventory receipt, transaction audits, and other ad hoc activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Counts & Remote Visits:
- Conduct monthly inventory counts at our Kuusamo facility to ensure accuracy and compliance with established inventory policies.
- Occasional travel to other company locations for inventory counts, investigation of discrepancies, and overall inventory management.
- Inventory Reconciliation:
- Reconcile inventory counts with system records.
- Identify discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Inventory Transactions:
- Oversee and process inventory transactions, including receiving new inventory, warehouse transfers, and stock adjustments.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate reports on inventory levels, adjustments, and discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory activities and transactions.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Perform other inventory-related tasks as needed, including supporting inventory-related projects or process improvements.
Additional Expectations:
- Travel: Occasional travel to remote locations for audits and inventory procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
