JAZPRO Technology is looking for a Mechanical Designer to assist with the design and development of custom automation equipment, CNC fixtures, gauges, and other manufacturing tooling. This role will primarily involve supporting ongoing projects, making modifications to existing designs, creating detailed drawings, and assisting with new design work as required.
We're looking for someone with solid SolidWorks experience who enjoys practical mechanical design and working closely with manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and development of automation equipment, CNC fixtures, gauges, and custom machinery.
- Modify and improve existing designs based on project requirements and customer feedback.
- Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Support project engineers and designers with ongoing projects.
- Work with machinists and fabricators to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience.
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (required).
- Experience with automation equipment, CNC fixtures, gauges, tooling, or similar industrial equipment.
- Good understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or servo systems.
- Familiarity with GD&T.
- Experience in a machine-building or custom manufacturing environment.
