Toyota Tsusho Canada Inc. has an opening for Facilities Repair Team Member on to join our team. This is a Day shift position. As a Facilities Repair Team Member you will be an integral part of our team to ensure the facility is managed and compliant, while working closely with the rest of the team as well as external contractors to ensure that the building is running smoothly.
WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?·
- Perform basic tasks including painting, cleaning and managing light general warehouse maintenance repairs
- Hang signage while operating power tools
- Perform preventative maintenance on vacuum hoists, electric hoists and the pallet wrapper
- Ensure forklift and tugger defects are reported to service contractors
- Install safety barriers, angle iron, tables and racking
- Manage contractors, schedule outside repair companies as needed.
- Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns
- May be required to operate a forklift and/or scissor lift
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., shoveling snow)
- All other duties assigned
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- 3-5 Years experience on general building maintenance/ facilities management / repairs
- Proven experience in fault finding / diagnostics
- Experience in contractor management
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and compliance within a facilities environment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Adept in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
- Extremely organized with good communication skills
- Must possess valid driver’s license
