Fabricator/Welder
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and welding metal components to fabricate structural and custom metal products. This is a hands-on position requiring strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and experience operating fabrication equipment and tools.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assemble and weld metal components using various welding processes
- Operate fabrication equipment and tools including saws, grinders, and drills
- Fabricate metal structures and components to required specifications
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet CWB standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects safely and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Set up and troubleshoot welding equipment and machinery as required
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school
- College or industry training in welding and fabrication considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding and machine setup
- Experience welding steel materials; aluminum and stainless steel experience considered an asset
- Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Strong knowledge of welding machine setup and troubleshooting
- Skilled Trades Certification considered an asset
- CWB tickets considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
