Job Overview
Wabash MFG Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Technician to support production flow in our fabrication shop. This hands-on role is responsible for staging and moving materials, supporting Plasma and Waterjet operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating material-handling equipment, and helping keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Stage and move materials and parts to support daily production priorities
- Operate forklifts, zoom-booms, loaders, and overhead cranes (training/certification preferred)
- Support Plasma and Waterjet operations by preparing materials, removing cut parts, and maintaining work areas
- Track inventory, complete counts, and report discrepancies
- Organize material storage areas and monitor material flow to reduce production delays
- Perform basic equipment care and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all safety procedures and work closely with supervisors and shop staff
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, material handling, or a shop environment is preferred
- Forklift, zoom-boom, loader, or overhead crane experience is an asset
- Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and basic data entry
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift, move, and organize materials in a physically active environment
