Lotus Group has partnered with a valued client who is a fast-growing Canadian medical and dental device company, and they are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team based in Edmonton, Alberta.

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of the company by attracting top talent and setting up the building blocks of their HR processes. Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment across all departments, including workforce planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer negotiations.
- Develop proactive talent pipelines and sourcing strategies to ensure access to high-quality candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce requirements, skill gaps, and succession planning opportunities.
- Enhance the candidate experience while promoting the company as an employer of choice.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide insights and recommendations to improve hiring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support employer branding initiatives and identify new channels to attract qualified candidates.
Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Experience:
- Coordinate and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires.
- Conduct Day One orientation sessions, ensuring employees understand company policies, procedures, culture, and expectations.
- Partner with managers to ensure new employees have the tools, equipment, and resources needed for success.
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews, equipment retrieval, and employee record updates.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve the onboarding and offboarding experience.
HR Policies, Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices remain compliant with applicable federal and provincial employment legislation.
- Monitor changes to employment standards, workplace regulations, and HR best practices, providing recommendations to leadership as required.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR documentation.
- Support workplace investigations, documentation, and compliance-related initiatives when required.
Culture & Employee Engagement:
- Champion a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with the organization's values and business objectives.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on people-related matters.
- Support organizational growth by contributing to strategic HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer employee benefits programs and act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Support compensation reviews, salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness within the market.
- Assist leadership in developing compensation strategies that attract and retain high-performing employees.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Foster positive employee relations by providing guidance, coaching, and support to both employees and leaders.
- Assist with conflict resolution, performance management processes, employee development plans, and disciplinary matters as required.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters.
HR Administration & Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day HR administration and employee lifecycle activities.
- Manage vacation tracking, employee records, and policy administration.
- Coordinate WCB claims administration and support return-to-work programs where required.
- Support employee communications and social committee initiatives.
- Ensure HR systems, employee files, and records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Research, apply and manage all administrative duties of any grant applications for internships and employees.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant involvement in full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; CPHR designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta employment legislation, HR best practices, and employee relations.
- Experience supporting multiple areas of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and policy administration.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
