Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems
- Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Assist in food preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
- Serve customers with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience through excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the kitchen and dining areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
- Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures at all times
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep work as needed, contributing to smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
