Job Overview
West Yellowhead Waste Resource Authority (WYWRA) is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Yard/Shop Maintenance Employee to join our team. This is a casual position with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- General yard maintenance, including mowing grass and keeping the property clean and organized
- Maintaining gravel surfaces and driveways
- Perform routine shop maintenance, including cleaning, organizing tools, and repairing equipment.
- Waste and recycling bin repair and maintenance
- Picking up parts and supplies as required
- Assisting the Mechanic with shop duties and repairs as needed
- Performing general labour and maintenance tasks to support daily operations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications
- Be reliable, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing manual labour
- Be able to safely operate a Bobcat (skid steer)
- Possess good mechanical aptitude (an asset)
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Have experience operating lawn care and light equipment (an asset)
