Job Description:
Gig Guys Production & Event Services is hiring experienced stagehands to support a wide range of live events — from festivals and concerts to corporate meetings, galas, and trade shows across the Niagara region.
This is hands-on, physical work that includes the setup and teardown of audio/visual gear, staging, lighting, truss, pipe and drape, and other production elements — in both outdoor and indoor (corporate) environments.
Please Note: Prior experience with AV gear (such as projectors, screens, speakers, lighting, cabling, etc.) is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload production gear (AV equipment, staging, lighting, etc.)
- Set up projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, lighting, and related systems
- Build and strike staging, pipe & drape, truss, and rigging elements
- Follow direction from crew leads, production managers, and techs
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment in both corporate and festival settings
- Work efficiently under time constraints
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a stagehand or live event crew member
- Proven hands-on experience with AV equipment and event tech setups
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy gear repeatedly
- Must bring your own PPE, including:
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots
- Hard hat
- High-visibility vest
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Professionalism and strong communication skills, especially in corporate venues
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, or lift certifications
- Experience with breakout room setups, podiums, or hybrid event tech
- Comfort working both outdoors (festivals) and indoors (hotels, convention centres)
