What you'll do...
We are looking for a torch cutter to join our team. As a torch cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing oversize steel and metal material by cutting it with an oxy-propane torch. This role requires the ability to work independently and safety is of the utmost importance. You will report directly to the operations manager.
Requirements
Must be accustomed to repetitive movements, lifting and year round working outdoors in a safe and efficient manner.
- Experience with Oxy-propane torching required
- Minimum of one year of experience with scrap metal and a strong knowledge of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals would be an asset
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep yard clean and organized
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of yard
- Work outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Good communication skills
