Position: Equipment Operator
Job Description:
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of a variety of equipment. This position requires a person who is able to work safely at a variety of heights and work with heavy equipment. The Equipment Operator will also be responsible for the clean up of the equipment after use. Wage dependent on experience.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Daily inspections of the equipment
- Ensure that safety and regulations are followed at all times
- Assist in the clean up of the machine after use
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- reliable transportation to and from work
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
Qualifications:
- Ability to work safely at all times while operating equipment including machinery, forklifts and other machinery as needed.
- 2-3 years experience operating excavators and dozers
- Experience installing sewer, sanitary and water an asset
- Prefer Septic, foundation, retaining wall, and pipe experience
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Valid drivers licence
- Clean driving record
- Team player
- Able to take direction from site supervisors
- Able to work with others and independantly
- Be able to troubleshoot, and critical thinking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
