About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and diesel-powered vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform repairs on heavy-duty equipment (e.g., trucks, loaders, excavators)
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative servicing
- Complete inspections and maintain accurate service records
- Ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with operators and supervisors
Qualifications & Experience
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Experience with brands like CAT, Komatsu, John Deere (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
