About Soiltrackers
Soiltrackers builds chain-of-custody software that helps construction and environmental teams track, verify, and report on soil movement keeping projects compliant and audit-ready. We're a small, fast-moving team looking for an energetic student to help us grow our customer base this summer.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a student Outbound Sales Representative to help identify and connect with potential customers — primarily excavation, demolition, grading, and earthworks contractors, along with construction and environmental firms across Western Canada. You'll get hands-on experience in B2B sales, prospecting, and CRM tools, with direct mentorship from our founder.
What You'll Do
- Research and build lists of target companies and contacts (contractors, consultants, developers)
- Conduct outbound outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads
- Book discovery calls and product demos for the sales team
- Track all outreach activity and lead status in our CRM
- Follow up on inbound inquiries and nurture early-stage prospects
- Report weekly on outreach volume, response rates, and pipeline progress
- Help refine outbound scripts and messaging based on what's working
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program (business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred)
- Comfortable making cold calls and initiating conversations with strangers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a small team
- Interest in construction, environmental services, or B2B sales/tech is an asset
- Experience with a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus but not required
Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee status in Canada
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond, BC V7A 5C8
