JOB OUTLINE
- Supervise swimming activities at the pool and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
- Evaluate conditions for safety and initiate aquatics emergency action plan as required.
- Ensure a clean and welcome environment for members.
- Greet and check-in members and their guests.
- Build rapport with members.
- Conduct daily cleaning of pool deck, green space, and changerooms.
- Conduct water tests to monitor pool chemistry when necessary.
- Respond to any first aid emergencies in the pool and surrounding area.
- Maintain communication with supervisory staff regarding any issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current National Lifeguard
- Intermediate First Aid CPR-C and AED Certification
- Previous experience in an aquatic’s facility is an asset
