Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated labourer to join our new interior demolition team. In this role, you will be an essential part of renovation projects and you will represent the values of the company as we grow. As a new company, we can only offer contract work when we successfully obtain projects. This post is to make some connections and then we will reach out at a later date.
Duties
- Assist with demolition and site cleanup, including: removing furniture, removing millwork(counters, cupboards and cabinets), removing flooring or ceiling finishes, demolishing walls, removing plumbing fixtures, etc.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (40lbs+)
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Operate heavy equipment when trained and certified to do so
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous construction or renovation experience is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, construction documents or technical drawings is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, or carpentry is a plus
- Minimum 18 years of age
Projects may be located all over SW Ontario, but we are starting with Peel/ York region. Travel time is paid and potentially carpool options available depending on locations.
Pay: $180.00-$250.00 per day
