We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team as an independent contractor. At Pace Child and Family Wellness Centre, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals of different ages overcome communication challenges and achieve their goals. Your expertise and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients in Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' unique needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to clients, including assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and caregivers to optimize therapy outcomes.
- Offer guidance and support to clients in improving speech sound production, language development, fluency, and social communication skills.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech and language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Minimum of year of experience in clinical practice, preferably with children and families.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice in speech and language pathology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dedication to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must provide an up-to-date Criminal Records check with Vulnerable Persons within 30 days of being offered the position.
