Job Summary
Airdrie Christian Childcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Christian Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through educational activities and individualized care. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for early childhood education. The Early Childhood Educator will collaborate with colleagues to implement program plans, monitor children's progress, and promote positive social interactions. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and learning within a supportive community setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Christian educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Observe and assess children's developmental progress for daily notes or report cards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to ensure a healthy learning environment.
- Plan monthly/daily schedules, participate in special events, and program enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Follow all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare policies to ensure compliance at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in English
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings; experience with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Technology skills as asset.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide children positively while fostering independence.
- Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities within the daily schedule.
- Compassionate attitude with patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.

*You will be required to provide proof of Christian faith from a Church pastor or leader.
Pay: $19.64-$27.62 per hour
