Marketing & Content Strategist (Remote | GTA Preferred)
Kettlebell Wellness is looking for a thoughtful, strategic, and collaborative Marketing & Content Strategist to join our growing team.
This role is not focused solely on social media, nor is it a traditional marketing position. We're looking for someone who can help connect and coordinate the many moving pieces of a growing business — from content and community storytelling to launches, member communications, workshops, and marketing initiatives.
Working closely with our Founder, Community & Operations Manager, and Head of Advertising, you'll help create greater consistency, cohesion, and momentum across our marketing efforts while supporting the continued growth of both the business and the community we serve.
Who We Are
Kettlebell Wellness (KBW) is a growing virtual strength training studio designed specifically for women in midlife. Through live Zoom classes, an on-demand video library, educational workshops, coaching, and a supportive online community, we help women 45+ build strength, confidence, and resilience through menopause and beyond.
Our mission is to help women get strong for life through expert coaching, practical education, and meaningful community. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for someone who shares our values and wants to play an important role in helping us communicate that message clearly, consistently, and effectively.
The Opportunity
Kettlebell Wellness generates a steady stream of valuable content, educational material, member success stories, workshops, and community experiences. We're looking for someone who can help organize, develop, and share this content consistently while bringing greater structure, cohesion, and momentum to our marketing efforts.
This role is about helping communicate the value of Kettlebell Wellness clearly and consistently to both current and prospective members.
What You'll Do:

- Create and manage content calendars and campaigns
- Turn classes, workshops, FAQs, coach expertise, testimonials, and member stories into meaningful content
- Create content for social media, email, and member communications
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging
Marketing & Growth
- Help develop and execute marketing initiatives, launches, and promotions
- Collaborate with the Head of Advertising to support audience growth, lead generation, and member retention
- Help identify what is working and improve what isn't
Community & Brand
- Support community storytelling and engagement
- Help strengthen the connection between members and the KBW brand
Coordination & Systems
- Coordinate marketing-related projects and initiatives across the team
- Create systems that improve consistency, follow-through, and execution
- Help turn ideas into organized action
The Ideal Person
You are:

- Organized, proactive, and reliable
- Low ego, highly collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a small team
- Systems-minded and able to bring structure to ideas and projects
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership
- Interested in meaningful work, measurable results, and long-term growth
You understand that trust drives growth and that effective marketing starts with understanding the audience. You're able to communicate with women 45+ in an authentic and respectful way, and you enjoy helping turn ideas, stories, and experiences into clear, organized, and effective marketing initiatives.
Bonus Experience
- Peri and post menopausal women's health and wellness
- Marketing for virtual or physical fitness studio expertise/experience such as yoga or pilates studios or gyms

- Consistent, high-quality content
- Stronger marketing systems and follow-through
- Clear, cohesive messaging across platforms
- Sustainable audience growth and improved member conversion
- A stronger, even more engaged community
- A calmer, more supported leadership team
This Is NOT The Right Role For Someone Who...
- Is primarily focused on influencer-style content
- Is obsessed with vanity metrics
- Wants complete creative control
- Prefers aggressive or hype-driven marketing
- Only wants to schedule posts
- Needs constant direction and oversight
- Wants to build their own personal brand more than they want to help build ours
Position Details
This role will begin as a part-time contractor position and is designed for someone interested in growing with the company over time.
We are looking for a long-term relationship, not a short-term project. As Kettlebell Wellness grows, we expect this role to evolve and expand in both scope and responsibility for the right person.
