You are an experienced FP&A analyst who is a whiz in end-to-end forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling. You love to partner with different areas of the business on new initiatives and provide value add analysis. About the day-to-day:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting for the mortgage lending portfolio.
- Analyze loan volume, pipeline movement, and portfolio trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Deliver variance analysis and actionable insights on key performance indicators and business drivers to senior leadership.
Pricing Strategy & Profitability
- Develop, monitor, and refine mortgage pricing strategies to balance volume growth and margin optimization.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate rate changes, promotional offers, and competitive positioning.
- Assess profitability by product, channel, and customer segment.
Loan Volume & Movement Analysis
- Track and analyze loan origination trends, conversion rates, pipeline progression, and fallout.
- Build dashboards to monitor key KPIs (e.g., funded volume, approval rates, prepayment trends).
- Identify drivers of performance fluctuations and recommend corrective actions.
Data & Insights
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support planning and business cases.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders in a concise and impactful manner.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across reporting, forecasting, and data processes.
- Streamline workflows using advanced Excel, Power Query, and other analytics tools.
- Partner with data/technology teams to enhance reporting infrastructure and data quality.
About the qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA/CFA preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or mortgage lending analytics.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, pricing, and lending lifecycle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).
- Insight-driven mindset with the ability to tell a story with data.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation and optimization.

About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Hiring process:

Compensation:
The expected salary for this role is approximately $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
