Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is a leading worldwide, diversified manufacturer of complex metal components and products. It serves the aerospace, power, and general industrial markets. PCC is the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, and forged components used in jet aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. We current have an opportunity for a full-time Cleaner to join our PCC Concord and Brampton Ontario Team. We are looking for a Team player, who takes pride in delivering quality work and providing exceptional results for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily building cleaning including mopping and vacuuming and office areas
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures and maintaining health and safety protocols
- Monitor exterior of building to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks and maintaining all protocols on heavy lifting procedures.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Occasional snow removal when required.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using the appropriate cleaning products, tools and equipment.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- General Labor tasks assigned on the shop floor
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Machine shop exposure would be an asset
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Ability to lift up to 24 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively individually and within a team
