Residential HVAC Installer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, replacement, and commissioning of residential heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment. Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, water heaters, tankless water heaters, HRVs, and related components.
- Remove and dispose of existing equipment safely and professionally.
- Install and modify ductwork, gas piping, venting, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and electrical connections as required.
- Start up and commission newly installed systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality control inspections.
- Educate homeowners on the operation and maintenance of their new equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while respecting customers’ homes and property.
- Complete all required paperwork, installation reports, and documentation accurately.
- Follow company policies, manufacturer specifications, and all applicable safety regulations and building codes.
- Work effectively with dispatchers, service technicians, and fellow installers to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of residential HVAC installation experience (depending on position level).
- Valid Gas Technician 2 (G2) License.
- Strong knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, HRVs, and tankless water heaters. Boilers-
- Ability to read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, gas piping, and venting.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- ODP Certification.
- Sheet metal experience.
- Working at Heights certification.
- G3 or G2 Gas License.
- 313D Refrigeration License (preffered)
