Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including industrial and renovation projects, and be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse electrical systems, from low voltage to complex programmable logic controllers (PLCs), in a dynamic environment that values safety, precision, and professionalism. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and renovation settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to low voltage systems, PLCs, and other control systems
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure
- Assist in diagnosing complex electrical problems using schematics and technical manuals
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician certification
- Proven experience in industrial electrical work and renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, low voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Familiarity with construction environments and handyman skills is advantageous
- Ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting electrical issues effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to safety standards and regulations in all aspects of work
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting
