Jia Yin Academy is a growing performing arts school dedicated to providing high-quality dance and music education in a supportive and welcoming environment.
We're looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing & Business Development Specialist to help grow our student community, strengthen our brand, and increase student enrollment.
This role combines marketing, student recruitment, customer relations, and studio operations. You'll work closely with our team while contributing to performances, workshops, music videos, and community events.
This position begins as a part-time role (20–30 hours/week), with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position starting in November, based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Development
- Manage the studio's social media platforms and Google Business Profile
- Create photo, video, and graphic content for social media and marketing
- Capture content during classes, rehearsals, performances, and events
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns for classes, workshops, camps, and events
- Design promotional materials using Canva or similar tools
- Develop marketing initiatives, community partnerships, and student recruitment strategies
- Assist with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and campaign performance analysis
Sales & Student Recruitment
- Respond to inquiries via email, phone, social media, messaging platforms, and walk-ins
- Welcome prospective students, provide studio tours, and recommend suitable programs
- Guide new students through registration and follow up with leads
- Convert inquiries into registrations through excellent customer service
- Build strong relationships with students and families to encourage retention
Studio Operations
- Coordinate class schedules and instructor availability
- Communicate scheduling updates with instructors and families
- Assist with rehearsals, performances, workshops, and special events
- Maintain student records and registration forms
- Support day-to-day studio operations
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered
Experience & Skills
- Experience in marketing, business development, sales, customer service, or a related role
- Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing, and content creation
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strategic thinker with a passion for growing a business
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and basic photo/video editing software
Assets
- Experience in performing arts, education, fitness, recreation, or hospitality
- Fluent in English (Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset)
- Experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, website management, or SEO
- Knowledge of video production/editing, graphic design, photography, or content creation

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
