Position Overview
GAMA Services Inc. is seeking a motivated Plumber Apprentice with up to two years of experience to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their plumbing career and looking to develop their skills through hands-on experience in commercial and industrial construction.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of licensed plumbers and experienced forepersons while assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial and industrial plumbing installations.
- Install and support piping, fixtures, valves, and related equipment.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping and materials.
- Read and follow drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Help troubleshoot plumbing systems and identify deficiencies.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow company policies and all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Complete daily time records and required project documentation.
- Perform other plumbing-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Zero to two years of plumbing or construction experience.
- Registered as a 306A Plumber Apprentice, or eligible and willing to register.
- Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in the plumbing trade.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other construction safety certifications are considered assets.
