Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing both manual and power tools to achieve professional results. Experience in dealership settings, automotive repair, or mechanical work is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of safety protocols and attention to detail.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primer, paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete painting tasks efficiently and accurately
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for large projects
- Conduct touch-ups and ensure consistent quality across all painted surfaces
- Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
- Assist with minor repairs or automotive painting tasks if required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dealership painting or automotive repair is preferred
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and working with chemicals
- Experience working with automotive or industrial coatings is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive systems is beneficial but not mandatory
