Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals and maintaining efficient kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with attention to presentation, quality, and consistency
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure timely service
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food preparation, and food safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment (min 2 years)
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Transportation to and from work
- Food Handler Certification
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
