Fabricator (Welder)
Inno Food Inc. is a global food production facility specializing in premium, high-end snacks. We are currently seeking a Fabricator (Welder) to support the production, assembly, and finishing of custom metal products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
To succeed in this role a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled in various welding techniques, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Operate and maintain various steel working and general fabrication tools and equipment.
- Measure, mark and cut various materials including wood, metal, and composites.
- Receive directions and execute assembly procedures and processes while communicating status, issues, and questions regularly.
- Integration of other products into fabricated items including mounting, alignment, accessibility, and reinforcement.
- Cut and grind various materials including wood, metals, FRP, plastics and composites.
- Daily manual labor and physical demands include, but not limited to: standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and bending for extensive lengths of time. It also requires full-body movements including, but not limited to, the use of hands, feet, arms, legs, back, and torso; along with the ability to push, pull and lift.
- Report malfunctions of equipment or tools immediately.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Grinding and finishing completed products
- Performing quality checks on completed products
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
- Use specialized machinery for industrial welding
- Maintain, regularly clean and repair all welding equipment and tools.
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature and determining correct gas ratios
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
- Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
- Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in welding in all positions with flux core, metal core and hard wire.
- Experience in reading and understanding working drawings.
- Possibility of overtime as required by workload and customer requirements
- Perform other duties as needed
- Welder / Fabricator Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Preferably 1 – 2 years stainless steel fabricating experience.
- Welder’s certification CWB preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above and below waist.
Scheadule:
- 40 hrs / Week
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
