Job Overview
We are seeking motivated Seasonal Straw Harvest Help to assist with the timely and efficient harvesting of straw on our farm. Duties
- Assist with the manual harvesting of straw, including Baling, Stacking, and Loading.
- Operate farm machinery and power tools safely for various tasks related to straw collection and processing
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on farm equipment, including hand tools and heavy machinery
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols while handling heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment
- Assist with general farm maintenance tasks such as cleaning work areas and organizing tools
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily harvest goals efficiently
Experience
- Prior experience with mechanical knowledge, farm machinery operation, or horticulture is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment is essential
- Previous outdoor labor or farming experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important
